I am trying to figure out this "Google" thing. If I google my own name, it comes up with a lot of stuff.

Surprisingly, none of it is linked back here.

You folks must be detectives or something. Truly, Magnum P.I.'s!

However, hmmm

http://images.google.ca/images?q=tom%20selleck&hl=en&lr=&safe=off&sa=N&tab=wi

why am i embracing sting? and why is that picture so popular! silly people.

Mr. Selleck,

I never could figure out the Google thing either, always use Yahoo myself. Anyway, I found your site by shear luck while doing a search for present day actors that like to do western movies. This was a few months ago, and the first posting I read was the one about Don Johnson. I laffed so hard I was crying.
Since that time I check back around once a week to see if there is anything new. I cannot say that I was ever a big fan of Magnum, don't believe I ever watched more then a few episodes. However I am a big fan of your work after Magnum, and your western work is to me very well done with a lot of heart. I grew up on a horse ranch in the '60's. My mother was a stunt woman and my dad worked in the studios as a model maker. We raised appaloosa's and our stud Cojo Rojo was in the Movie "The Appaloosa" with Marlon Brando. Clint Eastwood had a place just up from ours in La Tuna Canyon where we would play on his trampoline with his kids. Ronald Regan came to see our horses along with many others.
Ok, so maybe I should get to the point. My wife often asks me "where have all the hero's in our lives gone"? She isn't talking about firemen or soldiers defending freedom, they will always be heros. She means the role models we grew up with, like John Wayne, Ronald Regan, Jimmy Stewart, Steve McQueen, James Coburn and others. The Baldwin brothers sure ain't fill'in this hole, ha,ha. Bottom line is the world needs role models and hero's to look up to. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to your next project.
Regards,
Mike Martinez

I'm getting a pig next summer. My roommate and I decided to name it Tom Selleck. I also talked my friend into naming her turtle Steve Guttenberg.

I, like the first person that posted a comment, was not a huge fan of Magnum (perhaps being only 11 is to blame). Now that Magnum P.I. is in syndication, I love it! I started watching after I had seen: "Three Men And A BABY/LITTLE LADY" and two of your Westerns--which is odd because I was never into that genre before seeing them.

You are probably one of the top 10 underrated actors in Hollywood. At least you landed some quality parts and you're popular--although most actors say they'd prefer "quality" work to popularity. Anddddd, after all this time, you're still kinda cute (laughing).

Best wishes

P.S. You really should post a little more. People are reading but because you need to have an account to post here, some people are less likely to post comments (wink).

Mr. Tom Selleck,
I was a friend of the Late Virgil Vogel who not only directed you in Magnum P.I., but was a coach along with your father for your little league baseball team
Virgil and I worked together for a few years.
My independant production company, Sand Prairie Productions, LLC is in pre-production of a low budget, independant western movie "Sand Prairie" which will begin shooting very soon here in Central Illinois. (actually in Virgil Vogel's home town of Pekin, Illinois.) Now my question is who do I contact to attempt to offer your the lead role?

Dear Mr. Tom Selleck,

One of your charms is that you alway remain so humble and are never completly aware of how sexy and appealing you are to a wide range of people with varying lifestyles.

I am sure you can recall a number leading Hollywood men who have had this same mass appeal.

Sir, you are blessed and one of a handful.

Most sincerely,

A Fan

Searching for others who enjoyed "Eats, Shoots & Leaves", and Tom Selleck's Life pops up. What did you think of the book? I'm actually looking at the use of commas in this comment and, being away from the book at the moment, I'm really hesitant to even post this. Odd.

Well, back to the point... Did you enjoy the book?

Congrats on your election to the NRA Board of Directors! Have you ever thought of making a run at the NRA Presidency? That would show that nut case, Rosie O'Donnell!

LOL

Google is great. :) I'm a huge fan of gmail and the google picture search. As well as just google searching in general. Yahoo gets some of the same results, but I just "google" stuff. Anyway, it's built into Firefox, so I use it.

I think you need the web-crawlers (ie. bots) to search this site. I don't know how to get them to do that.

I don't know how to get google to index your blog. I've been trying to figure that out since I started on Livejournal! Anywho, I think it has something to do with the way it's linked on other sites. I guess you could google "site rankings" or "web bots" to see how it works.

I'm a Maine girl who loved Magnum P.I. and made sure that I had my homework done so I could give it my undivided attention!

I watched Jesse Stone: Sea Change and absolutely loved it....then again, I make sure I watch anything going with Mr. Selleck in it! He has got to be one of the most humble men (well-next to my husband) and has a very positive attitude.

Joining the NRA is great and people who use firearms AFTER taking the appropriate classes would see it that way too! Rosie needs to get her finger out of her...well, you know what I mean - she doesn't have a clue!!

Keep up the great work - Maine is a great state to live in!!

Smiles...
Serena
