I hope you all enjoyed my recent press junket! I apologize for the infrequency of my updates but as I mentioned in a very early post I was busy writing. I just didn't say what! Well, now the new Jesse Stone is out. Enjoy, everyone.

Jon Stewart certainly is a funny guy. I thought everything went well.

Today is a lazy kind of day. I've been feeling a bit tired lately; stave it off all we want, but age will still get to you eventually. Don't worry, though! It's just the seasons changing.

I remember when the kids were younger, dressing them up for Halloween. Things sure do change, don't they?

I cooked with onions this morning (greek salad omelette) and now my eyes are a bit watery. What a lingering smell!!

I'm going to go write a bit and then perhaps have a nap. Maybe some kidlets will show up at the door. Kids are the window to youth again, aren't they?

At any rate, I apologize for being behind on my e-mail. Things have been hectic around the home (renovations!!). You should all know that I greatly appreciate them and try to answer as many as I can. Take care!

It is one of those evenings that you just can't sleep. I have not written about life lately, blog. I have been caught up with my career, I guess. Sometimes things seem to stagnate, but everything rights itself in the end? Right? Right!

You know, I did end up buying a charcoal grill. Unfortunately, it's only for Maine. So I haven't had a chance to give 'er a go.

I ended up watching the "Friends" DVDs Hannah got me for my birthday. That Chandler sure is crazy! That show was good times. Too bad all things come to an end. I guess I'm just getting retrospective in my age. Oh well!

I'm going to go drink warm milk and try to get some shut eye.

To everyone that has sent me birthday greetings, thank you!

Well, I am sixty. We had a little bit of cake to celebrate and then they pulled out a retrospective of Mr. Tom Selleck's life! It was very touching. I am glad Magnum PI had the impact that it did on people and I am very grateful that I am able to do what I have been doing.

Although it is very rare, one of you did not believe it is actually me. I'm not sure why anyone would fake being Tom Selleck, honestly. I am just a sixty year old guy, trying to make it in this world. I like this blog thing because it reminds me of that and keeps me feeling down to earth (not that I have ever felt anything but). So yes, it really is me. And yes, I do try to respond to each and every one of you because I do appreciate all my fans mean to me!

aloha!

so, i've been getting lots of e-mails from you guys! i appreciate them, keep 'em coming.

well, phew. things were going kind of bad with jillie, so i decided to take a solo vacation. i mean, hell, kevin and hannah are out of the house and it was just the two of us. why not! hello hawaii! i spent several months on the beach sipping rum and exploring volcanoes.

It was just what I needed. I feel recharged and reenergized and I'm back in business.

Right now I'm filming a movie for TV with Micheal Fox. It will be great. I'm quite busy with all of this, however, and while I bought one of these laptop things, I doubt I will be around much.

So, I got information on some grills. I definately don't want a gas grill. Propane burns cleanly but it doesn't have any of the taste that you might get from charcoal or something else like that.
Anyway, I got some monkfish today. It's pretty mild tasting and referred to as the poor man's salmon. I'm planning on a tasty marinade made out of honey and mustard and other such things. I'm getting hella creative with cooking lately.

Which means that I should be getting a creative burst of energy in regards to my writing!
I'm still exploring that pirate aspect. I was already a cowboy, and that was cool. I shaved the 'stache for that one too.

I've been growing a beard lately. I hope it makes me feel more pirate-y. Maybe I should stop eating vitamin C? Scurvy would definately put me in the pirate mood. I'd also be really pissed off that I had scruvy.

I think I'm going to go nap on this.

I had a dream that I beat Don Johnson up. I was Tom Magnum in the dream. I beat him up real good, too. All punching his head and stuff. Then he looks up at me and pleads not to hit him again, so I kind of get up and walk away. Then there's a razor at my throat and he cuts my moustache off! Like Samson, I am drained of my power and that bastard Johnson takes off with the rest of my moustache.
I don't know what it means.

I kinda want a yacht. I was looking at grills the other day. I don't actually know what any of the terminology is and the clerk was going on and on about butane or something. I just nodded and smiled because I didn't want the salesperson to think I was stupid. I just wanted something to grill steaks on, anyway. I told them I'd think about it, then I went and bought some untreated cedar planks. They are great for marinating meat on because the meat absorbs the flavour of the wood.
I've been eating a lot of steak, come to think of it.
This is the life of a bachelor, I guess!

So, being that I have a lot of spare time since Magnum PI, I decided I wanted to write a movie. I once wrote an episode of Magnum PI! It was the best episode ever, I can honestly tell you.
Anyhow, I think the movie should be about detectives. Or pirates. Or something equally awesome. Like me. Maybe I will call Ted Danson up to be in it. I like Ted but we sure don't know how to take care of babies! As for Steve Guttenberg... dude's a douche. Seriously.

Anyhow, the steaks have been marinating on the planks, so I'm going to go grill them up and maybe look up grills on the internet.

My therapist said I should stop living in the 80's so i went out and bought a computer a couple of weeks ago.
I hear this "blog" thing is pretty popular and so is Tom Selleck. So blog, meet Selleck.

I just kind of sat around today and read a few scripts.
Then I cooked up a mean steak. It was pretty good. I had this nice sauce on it. I think I want to buy a new grill.
I also replied to some fan mail today, too.
I wish people would forgot that time I shaved my moustache.
People make mistakes, okay?
Even Tom Selleck.

Well, blog, I am kind of tired so I think I'm going to go hit the hay.
